How to Use the Unit Plan Template
Start with the Big Idea
Write the big idea in a sentence or two, then list the learning goals under it.
Add the Standards
List the standards the unit covers so you can check each lesson against them.
Plan the Assessment
Decide how students will show what they learned, and note the resources you will need.
List Lessons in Order
On page two, give each lesson a row with its objective, activities and assessment.
Reflect After the Unit
When the unit ends, use the Reflection box to note what to keep and what to change.
