How to Build a Curriculum Map
Label the Map
Write the teacher, subject, grade and school year in the four fields above the table.
Name One Unit per Month
Put a unit title in each month's row. If a unit runs two months, repeat its title in both.
Fill Content and Skills
List the ideas students learn in the Content column and what they do in the Skills column.
Add Standards and Assessment
Copy the standards from your state or district, then name the main assessment for each unit.
Review It with Your Team
Print the finished map and look for gaps or repeats between grades before the year begins.
