Desk Name Tags Example
Kindergarten name tags: the name on the handwriting line, and a square for each child to draw themselves.

What's in the Desk Name Tags
Three Tags on a Page
Each tag is a wide strip with the same layout, ready to print and cut apart.
A Name Line
A ruled line in large type for the child's name, between the alphabet and the numbers.
Alphabet and 0 to 20
Aa to Zz on one strip and the numbers 0 to 20 on the other, for reference at the desk.
Editable Versions
Type the names into the Word or Google Docs file, or print the PDF. US Letter and A4.
How to Use the Desk Name Tags
Print on Card Stock
Heavier paper holds up to a year of elbows and erasers. Print one page for every three students.
Write Each Name
Print each child's name on the line in large letters, or type it into the Word or Google Docs file first.
Let Children Draw Themselves
Give each child a pencil or crayon to draw a self-portrait in the square, as a first-week activity.
Cut and Attach to Desks
Cut the tags apart, then tape or laminate one to each desk so it stays put.
Use the Strips as Prompts
Point to the alphabet or number strip when a child asks how to write a letter or number.
