How to Write a Simple Lesson Plan

  1. Name the Lesson First

Fill in the lesson, the class and the date, so each plan is easy to find later.

  2. State One Goal

Write what students will be able to do at the end, in a single sentence.

  3. Plan a Short Hook

Jot down the question, object or image that will get students thinking in the first minutes.

  4. Outline Teach and Practice

Say what you will model, then what students will try on their own or in pairs.

  5. Decide How to Wrap Up

Write the closing question or quick check you will use to see who got it.
