Where to find grade data
Grade insights are spread across two places, depending on whether you're looking at one student or the whole class:
- Individual student — open a student profile →
Overviewtab. - Whole class — open the gradebook grid and look at the class averages row and the class summary panel.
Student grade trends
The Grade Trends chart on a student's profile shows their scores over time, broken down by topic. Each topic is a separate line (e.g., Assignments, Homework, Tests), so you can spot which categories are improving and which are dropping.
Toggle between Day, Week, and Month at the top right of the chart to zoom in or out.
If a student's Test scores are strong but their Homework line is trending down, that's a specific conversation you can have — rather than just "your grade is slipping."
Category strengths
The Category Strengths radar chart on the student profile shows how a student performs across all topics relative to each other. A balanced shape means consistent performance. A lopsided shape reveals strengths and weaknesses at a glance.
Class averages
The gradebook grid shows two levels of class-wide data:
- Per-assignment averages — the top row of the grid shows the class average score and letter grade for each assignment. Spot which assignments were too easy or too hard.
- Overall class average — the bottom of the class summary panel (left side) shows the class-wide average percentage.
Spot a weakness? Add a note to the student's profile to track the conversation.
