Profile & preferences

Open settings

Click your profile icon in the top right of the app. For a full tour of the app layout, see Navigate the app →. The settings page shows your profile, preferences, and account details in one place.

At the top you'll see your name, email, sign-in method, and member-since date, along with your totals — classes, students, lessons, and assignments.

Active semester

Your active semester controls what data you see across the entire app. Switching semesters filters your classes, timetable, planner, and everything else. Learn more about managing semesters →

Change your active semester from the dropdown on the settings page or from the semester selector at the top of the sidebar.

Switching semesters doesn't delete anything. Your previous semester's data is always there — just switch back to see it.

Appearance

Toggle between Light and Dark mode.

Language

Choose your preferred language from the dropdown. EMStudio supports 20 languages. You can also change this from the language button in the top bar.

Background

Customize the content area background. Four options:

Grid
Parchment
Circles
Stripes

Account

At the bottom of the settings page:

Current Plan — shows your plan (Free, Pro, or School). Click Manage to view or change your subscription. Or upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription.
Sign Out — end your current session.
