Sparkle Spelling Game

   Stand up

   Everyone stands at their desk or in a circle.

   Say a word

   Call out a word from the spelling list.

   One letter each

   Students say the next letter in turn.

   Sparkle!

   After the last letter, the next student says sparkle, and the student after them sits down.

   Wrong letter sits

   A wrong letter also sits. Last student standing wins.

Ways to Change It Up

• Skip Count SparkleCount by 2s, 5s or 10s to a target number instead of spelling.
• Vocabulary SparkleSpell the word, then the sparkle student gives its meaning.
