Community & Chat
Communicate with colleagues using channels, direct messages, and real-time chat in EMStudio Pro.
The Community page provides a built-in messaging system for communicating with other teachers and staff.
Channels
Create group channels for team discussions, department planning, or school-wide announcements. Each channel has:
- Name and description
- Member list with roles
- Real-time messaging with instant delivery
- Mention support (@username)
Direct Messages
Send private messages to individual colleagues. DMs appear alongside your channel list for easy access.
Real-time
Messages are delivered in real-time using WebSocket connections. You'll see new messages appear instantly without refreshing the page.
Notifications
When someone mentions you or sends a direct message, you'll receive a notification. Check the notification bell in the header to see unread messages.
